Will this fit my 10540?
The claims say 10520, and only 10520. Same width is not same fit — the 2-edge and 4-edge systems differ in grind and mounting, and this store won't assert a cross-fit no claim supports .
Does it have rough and smooth edges?
No — both edges are ground alike. Rough-plus-smooth is the 4-edge family (11130/11135, for the 10540).
How many times can it be sharpened?
Until filing stops returning a straight, square, biting edge. In practice damage ends a blade's life long before wear does — a nail-struck edge is a replacement, a merely dull one is a thirty-second filing.
What steel is it?
