CHOOSE THIS WHEN
  • Ultra-Thin Microfiber Blend: Constructed from a dense matrix of microscopic fibers that hold up to three times more paint than a standard roller cover.
  • Flawless, Spray-Like Finish: Automatically levels and distributes paint with virtually zero stipple, yielding a mirror-smooth look.
  • Maximum Shed Resistance: Tightly locked, premium synthetic filaments prevent lint and loose fibers from shedding into wet paint.
DO NOT FORCE THE FIT
  • Long open cabinet-door runs where fewer reloads and the smoothest possible roll matter — that is the jumbo 47312's job; the conventional mini's smaller tank makes you work harder over a run of big faces.
  • Walls and ceilings as a field — a 1/4" nap skips wall texture and carries too little to feed a wall; for walls, 3/8" (47317) or a 9".
  • Texture and masonry — microfiber tears on rough surface.
  • Solvent enamel or polyurethane you'll toss the cover after — use a foam mini (47348) for use-and-discard finishing rather than throwing away good microfiber.
  • Matching a 9"-rolled wall's finish — a mini's stipple can flash against a full-size field; the 4"-on-full-core 47353 is the touch-up-match cover.

How the pros run it

01

The gloss rules are absolute

thin coats (gloss shows runs and stipple), light pressure (microfiber floods under weight — Hyde's caveat), don't overwork the setting enamel (lay it, lay it off once, leave it), and sand lightly between coats. Pre-dampen for waterborne enamel and load full and quiet. The one honest difference from the jumbo: the standard core holds less paint and rolls with a touch more flutter, so plan to reload a hair more often and let the light pressure — not muscle — keep the pass smooth. Clean it to keep it: microfiber is a wash-and-reuse cover; spin out, wash to clear, stand on end to dry, and give the slower rinse its minute.

Asked at the counter

BUYER QUESTIONS ANSWERED BEFORE THE CART, NOT AFTER THE RETURN
Standard mini or jumbo for cabinets?
Jumbo (47312) for open door faces and long runs; this conventional mini for the tight interiors and edges the jumbo's fat core can't reach.
Why the 1/4" nap?
It lays the flattest film — what gloss and semi-gloss enamel need. For walls, use 3/8" (47317).
Will it do my walls?
Only dead-smooth ones — a 1/4" nap skips wall texture. Use 3/8" or a 9" for real walls.
Wash or toss?
Wash — microfiber is reusable. For solvent work you'll discard, use foam (47348).
Is two covers enough?
For one small job or a working-plus-spare pair, yes; buy the 4-pack (47315) or 10-pack (47316) for more.

official description
E-Volution Advanced Microfiber Ultra-Thin Microfiber Blend: Constructed from a dense matrix of microscopic fibers that hold up to three times more paint than a standard roller cover. Flawless, Spray-Like Finish: Automatically levels and distributes paint with virtually zero stipple, yielding a mirror-smooth look. Maximum Shed Resistance: Tightly locked, premium synthetic filaments prevent lint and loose fibers from shedding into wet paint. Exceptional Splatter Control: Capillary action within the micro-filaments locks the paint inside the nap, reducing drips and messy splatters during overhead work. Ideal For All Sheen Levels: Flawlessly applies every finish from flat and matte to semi-gloss and high-gloss enamels. Critical Lighting Areas: Perfect for Interior spaces like large ceilings and walls exposed to direct sunlight, as it eliminates lap marks and tracks. Smooth to Semi-Smooth Surfaces: Optimally engineered for drywall, plaster, ceilings, wood trim, and smooth-rendered walls. Limitations Higher Paint Release Control Required: The massive paint capacity requires a lighter touch; pressing too hard can cause the roller to overload the wall or drip. Longer Cleaning Time: The incredibly dense microscopic fiber web holds onto paint tightly, requiring a more thorough and rigorous rinsing process to clean completely. Not for Aggressive Textures: Rough surfaces like heavy stucco, brick, or cinder blocks will snag, fray, and quickly tear up the delicate microfiber filaments. Key Differences from 100% Polyester Paint Capacity and Speed: Advanced Microfiber holds significantly more paint per dip than standard 100% polyester, allowing you to paint up to three times further before returning to the tray. Finish Smoothness vs. Stipple texture: Standard polyester leaves a noticeable, bumpy "orange peel" stipple pattern on walls. Microfiber lays the paint down so evenly it mimics the glass-smooth look of a commercial paint sprayer. Splatting and Mess: Standard polyester is prone to spraying micro-droplets and splattering paint everywhere when rolled quickly. Microfiber absorbs and locks the paint in place, resulting in a much cleaner, virtually splatter-free work environment. Premium Investment vs. Disposable: Standard polyester is a cheap, disposable commodity. Advanced Microfiber is a premium contractor-grade product that commands a higher retail price but delivers vastly superior results. — OFFICIAL FAMILY CLAIM APPLICABLE TO EXACT LISTED MODEL
