The microfiber holds up to 3× a standard cover's paint; press hard and it floods the surface and drips. Let the nap release the paint at the weight of your hand. De-lint before the first load even on a lint-free cover — wrap it in painter's tape and pull, or wash and spin — so nothing rides into a gloss film. Load and unload: saturate the cover, then roll most of it back out on the tray screen or grid; a finish coat is laid from a lightly-loaded cover in thin films, not dumped. Lay off in one direction with a near-weightless final pass so the residual stipple aligns and the sheen reads even. Thin coats, more of them — two thin coats out-finish one thick one on any gloss surface, and the recoat window on the can sets the pace. Cleaning takes longer, honestly: the dense fiber web holds paint tightly and wants a thorough rinse until the water runs clear, then spin and stand it on end to dry — a quality microfiber rewards the wash by getting better with use.
