the 1-1/4" edge puts real pressure on a small target — drive it into caulk beads, crack edges, and stubborn blisters where a wide blade can't focus. Two corners: the square grind gives you two working corners — use a corner to catch a sidewall bond or start under a bead. Low angle for surfaces, steeper to dig: 15–30° to shear off a surface; steeper and pointed to dig into a joint or crack. Hone the carbon edge: its whole advantage is a keen, maintainable edge — dress it square on a file when it dents or rolls; a sharp narrow stiff cuts, a dull one crushes and skids. Respect the steel: wipe it dry after wet work and oil it occasionally — carbon rusts, and rust ruins both the edge and any light-colored material it touches. Don't pry hard or hammer it: it's a scraper, not a wrecking bar (that's the XHD and bent tools).
