The .058" thickness is a feature: guide the limber blade along the contour and let it follow the surface; forcing a limber blade into a straight rigid cut just makes it wander. Hone the facet. Maintain the bevel on its angled facet, strop the burr off the back, and never flatten it on a stone. Expect HSS to resist the stone — the wear resistance you paid for is also honing resistance; use a proper abrasive. Keep it dry — HSS is a tool steel, not stainless. Confirm the handle and clamp — because the handle fit is unverified, check that whatever handle you use clamps the .690" width positively before running it, and keep exposure short on a thin blade so it does not buckle.

What is this blade for that the other bevels aren't?
Following contours. At .058" it is the limber bevel — thin enough to flex around a curved or yielding surface — where the .072" bevel blades are stiff straight-trim blades. Use it for contoured deflashing and skiving; use the thicker bevels for rigid straight cuts.
How is it different from the 62900?
Unclear on the record — both list as the 3551M at 5-1/2" × .690" × .058", separated only by an unresolved gauge tag, and the 62900's store title contradicts its official listing. We do not rank them until Hyde resolves it .
Which handle fits it?
Unconfirmed. Its .690" width sits between the 5/8" and 3/4" handle capacities, and no source says which handle takes it — ask Hyde before buying a handle for it .
What does "16 Gauge" mean here?
