Is this the right tool for your job?

CHOOSE THIS WHEN
  • Ultra-Thin Microfiber Blend: Constructed from a dense matrix of microscopic fibers that hold up to three times more paint than a standard roller cover.
  • Flawless, Spray-Like Finish: Automatically levels and distributes paint with virtually zero stipple, yielding a mirror-smooth look.
  • Maximum Shed Resistance: Tightly locked, premium synthetic filaments prevent lint and loose fibers from shedding into wet paint.
DO NOT FORCE THE FIT
  • Invisibly touching up a 9"-rolled wall — a mini's stipple can flash against a full-size field; the 4"-on-a-full-1-1/2"-core (47353/47354) is the touch-up-match cover.
  • Big open walls — full rooms want a 9" (47302); this is small-area work.
  • Heavy texture and masonry — microfiber snags and tears on rough surface, so 3/8" microfiber tops out at light texture.
  • Gloss doors and cabinets — the flat film gloss needs is the 1/4" nap's job (47316).
  • And a ten-pack is far too many covers for a single room — that's the 47317 (2-pack) or 47318 (4-pack).

How the pros run it

01

The cover paints like any 3/8" E-volution microfiber

light pressure (the capacity floods a wall under weight — Hyde's caveat), pre-dampen for waterborne, load full and quiet, lay off in one direction to align stipple. The production rule the ten-pack adds is a deliberate wash-or-spend decision per job: mark each cover a keeper (wash to clear, stand on end to dry) or a spend (roll it out and retire it), and never let a matted or wrong-color cover reach a visible wall to save a few minutes — the whole value of the microfiber is the clean, matching stipple. At turn-volume, a fresh cover per unit frequently costs less than the labor to wash one, which is what a ten-pack is priced to allow.

Asked at the counter

BUYER QUESTIONS ANSWERED BEFORE THE CART, NOT AFTER THE RETURN
Why ten wall-nap minis?
Multi-unit turns, production repaints, and crews — a fresh matching-stipple cover per unit or per job for closets, small walls, and hatband.
Same cover as the 2-pack?
Same 4" E-volution 3/8" microfiber mini — but note the ten-pack's catalog row lists a 3/4" core its 2-pack/4-pack siblings' rows don't ( unverified; may be a catalog artifact).
3/8" or 1/4" in bulk?
3/8" (this) for wall areas; 1/4" (47316) for gloss cabinets, doors, and trim.
Wash or toss at turn scale?
Decide per job — at turn-volume a fresh cover per unit can beat the labor to wash one, which is what the ten-pack is for.
Touch up a 9" wall with these?
For fresh small-area painting, yes; to blend invisibly, use the 47353/47354.

official description
E-Volution Advanced Microfiber Ultra-Thin Microfiber Blend: Constructed from a dense matrix of microscopic fibers that hold up to three times more paint than a standard roller cover. Flawless, Spray-Like Finish: Automatically levels and distributes paint with virtually zero stipple, yielding a mirror-smooth look. Maximum Shed Resistance: Tightly locked, premium synthetic filaments prevent lint and loose fibers from shedding into wet paint. Exceptional Splatter Control: Capillary action within the micro-filaments locks the paint inside the nap, reducing drips and messy splatters during overhead work. Ideal For All Sheen Levels: Flawlessly applies every finish from flat and matte to semi-gloss and high-gloss enamels. Critical Lighting Areas: Perfect for Interior spaces like large ceilings and walls exposed to direct sunlight, as it eliminates lap marks and tracks. Smooth to Semi-Smooth Surfaces: Optimally engineered for drywall, plaster, ceilings, wood trim, and smooth-rendered walls. Limitations Higher Paint Release Control Required: The massive paint capacity requires a lighter touch; pressing too hard can cause the roller to overload the wall or drip. Longer Cleaning Time: The incredibly dense microscopic fiber web holds onto paint tightly, requiring a more thorough and rigorous rinsing process to clean completely. Not for Aggressive Textures: Rough surfaces like heavy stucco, brick, or cinder blocks will snag, fray, and quickly tear up the delicate microfiber filaments. Key Differences from 100% Polyester Paint Capacity and Speed: Advanced Microfiber holds significantly more paint per dip than standard 100% polyester, allowing you to paint up to three times further before returning to the tray. Finish Smoothness vs. Stipple texture: Standard polyester leaves a noticeable, bumpy "orange peel" stipple pattern on walls. Microfiber lays the paint down so evenly it mimics the glass-smooth look of a commercial paint sprayer. Splatting and Mess: Standard polyester is prone to spraying micro-droplets and splattering paint everywhere when rolled quickly. Microfiber absorbs and locks the paint in place, resulting in a much cleaner, virtually splatter-free work environment. Premium Investment vs. Disposable: Standard polyester is a cheap, disposable commodity. Advanced Microfiber is a premium contractor-grade product that commands a higher retail price but delivers vastly superior results. — OFFICIAL FAMILY CLAIM APPLICABLE TO EXACT LISTED MODEL
