Can I use the scraper on stainless if I'm careful?
No — a carbon scraper embeds iron just like the wire. Use a stainless-safe or plastic scraper on stainless.
Why not just buy the plain brush and a separate scraper?
You can — but the combined tool is faster in the scale/slag/blister work where you alternate the two constantly.
Will it rust?
