What it does
Five heavy duty hook blades. The hooked throat cuts the material and the flat belly rides on the surface below. They have no piercing point.
How to use it
- Start every cut over an edge and draw toward you so the material feeds into the throat.
- Keep the blade flat on the surface below. Lifting the spine defeats the hook.
- Flip to the fresh hook when the pull drags.

Common questions
Can I start a cut in the middle of a sheet?
No. A hook blade has no point and must start at an edge. Use an open-point knife to start a mid-sheet cut.
What knife does it fit?
Standard trapezoid utility knives, such as the 42020 and 42083. Fit is not confirmed for this blade.
Will it fit a snap-off knife?
No. It is a trapezoid hook blade, not a snap-off.
Is it safe to cut old flooring?
The cut is fine. Pre-1980s resilient flooring and black cutback adhesive may contain asbestos, so test before disturbing it.
