Why buy 24 inches when 36 covers more?
Because coverage is worthless where the blade can't seat. Closets, stairwells, sash work, and casing detail are placement-dense and swing-poor; this length turns and re-seats where the 36 bumps both walls.
Can it really keep paint off carpet?
Yes — bowed into the tack-strip gap so the edge sits below the pile surface, lifted and re-seated per stride, wiped every placement (2a). It is the line's first-choice blade for that job.
Is this the right shield for windows?
For old, wavy sash beds, yes — the flex follows the wander. For straight modern muntins, its stiff twin the 28020 lays the truer line.
Will paint thinner or lacquer hurt it?
No. Solvent indifference is the aluminum argument — the same rag that would soften the poly 28060 just cleans this edge.
Does the handle come in the box?
