Single-edge Razor Blades 10-Pack
Official Hyde specifications
2 packs of 5 blades
PRODUCT FIT · IS THIS THE RIGHT TOOL?Straight answers. If it's the wrong tool for your job, we'll say so.
The guidance below describes applications and limitations. For a match to your particular job or an existing tool, ask us to confirm fit.
It is not a trade quantity: a detailer, glazier, or paint crew measuring consumption in blades-per-week overruns ten immediately and belongs at the hundred-count tier.
It is not a heavier blade in any way — the numbers 5 and 10 change nothing about gauge, and the line's one thicker blade is the .012" 13127, a different SKU with a different job.
It is not a source of pry bars, wood scrapers, or drywall tools; nine-thousandths hardened steel snaps under twist and digs into soft substrates.
And it is not the consumable for the 13080 (which feeds on utility-knife blades) or the 33250 (4" scraper blades) — adjacent scrapers, different ammunition.
Shallow angle, because a razor shears at the interface and gouges the moment it points into the work. Wet where the surface tolerates it, because the film is simultaneously lubricant, debris float, and scratch insurance. Early retirement, because the pattern's whole invention was an edge too cheap to resharpen — the .009" blade flexes agreeably under a household push, rides flat surfaces with a forgiving touch, and repays that forgiveness only while the edge is genuinely fresh. Bare grips live on the spine; anything longer than a detail pass belongs in a holder from the host roster (the Delta 13000 family, the 13020/13030 minis, 13040/13045, the folding 13065, the 42005 cutter).
Asked before buying
BUYER QUESTIONS, ANSWERED BEFORE YOU ORDER
Is this just two 13120s?
Literally yes — "2 packs of 5 blades" is Hyde's own package line, and the store treats the equivalence as a feature: it is the one-purchase way to stock two locations.
Are the blades different from the 5-pack's or the 100-packs'?
No. One blade serves the entire .009" line; only the .012" 13127 differs, and only in thickness.
What tools do these load?
Every Hyde single-edge host: the 13000-family Delta scrapers, 13020/13030 minis, 13040/13045, the 13065 folding scraper, and the 42005 carton cutter.
Do they rust?
Hyde claims "industrial-quality steel" without naming the alloy — so store them wrapped and dry, and wipe down any blade staying in service after wet work.
Can I scrape paint off my car with one?
Off the car's glass, yes, with the wet method and the defroster-grid and tempered-lite boundaries of §2c. Off paint, never.
What do I do with dull ones?
Wrap, tape, trash — or collect in a rigid tin. §2f is the complete pipeline.
