Wet, low, one direction — plus the point

The razor gospel applies (a filmed surface, a low angle, a single push direction), and to it the 13080 adds the point as an aiming feature: lead with the point into corners and under proud edges. Let rigidity do the work. The blade won't flex, so you can put steady force behind it on a hard deposit without the chatter a razor gives — but keep force honest, because rigidity plus a high angle scratches glass as surely as a dull razor does. Fresh, common blades. It takes standard utility-knife blades; swap a dull or nicked one immediately, and stock is universal. Cap it to carry. The safe-carry mechanism is the removable locking cap, not a retract or a fold — seat the cap over the blade before the tool leaves your hand.

What blades does it take?
Standard utility-knife blades — not single-edge razors. One heavy-duty blade comes with it, and any utility blade in your shop is a replacement.
Why utility blades instead of razors?
Rigidity and a point. A utility blade won't flex on a proud deposit and its pointed corner reaches into framed inside corners a razor's flat edge can't — Hyde notes the included blade is "for effectively scraping in corners."
How does it carry safely?
With a removable safety cap that locks in place over the exposed blade. Unlike the retractable and folding holders in this line, its blade is fixed in use, so cap it before pocketing.
When should I use a razor holder instead?
For broad, open glass — a razor shaves a big flat pane faster and flatter. Use the 13080 for the corners, edges, and stubborn proud deposits the razor leaves behind.
Can I use it on wood or drywall?
No. Like every scraper in this sub-line it is for hard, smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, mirror, glazed tile. On wood or drywall the blade cuts in; use a putty knife or wall scraper.
