A flat-back 10" is steered by bow, and it bends readily, so it rewards a light, following hand

Gentle center pressure leaves a slight crown for sanding; a whisper of end-bias feathers an edge to zero — and because the blade is limber, small inputs produce the correction, which is why it finishes so cleanly. Deposit at 20–30°, finish flat near 10–15° with a light touch, and let the blade's spring carry the feather rather than forcing it. A foot-wide-minus-two of blade still prints any wobble wide, so keep the stroke steady. The soft-grip handle suits long controlled passes; wipe on the pan rim every return so no crumb scores the coat. Cleanup is a rinse — stainless blade, rivet-free build.

Flat or extruded?
Flat keeps more spring — the feathering finish character. Extruded (the 09333) is stiffer for heavy fill. This is the flat 10".
Fill or skim?
Both — a wide feathering fill, and the first skim pass. That is what makes a 10" the second knife.
Can it set a nail?
Yes — the Hammer Head® end. The Value Series™ 09313 cannot.
Does it rust?
No — stainless, rivet-free. The blue-steel 09263 needs drying.
Best for the last skim?
It starts a skim beautifully; the final seam or butt-joint feather wants 12"–14" width — stay in the flat-back run with the 09373 or 09374.
