Flat or extruded?
Flat keeps more spring — the feathering, wash-and-forget finish. Extruded (the 09343) is stiffer for crown control and heavy fill. This is the flat 12".
Why is it the "wash-and-forget" skim blade?
Limber back (clean feathering) plus stainless (no drying ritual) — you can skim a whole wall with it and rinse-and-hang at day's end.
Can it set a nail?
Yes — the Hammer Head® end. The Value Series™ 09314 cannot.
Does it rust?
No — stainless, rivet-free. The blue-steel 09273 is the version that needs drying.
Whole-wall skim?
A core width for it — but the lane-by-lane method is in the skim-coating application guide, and the worst butt joints / Level-5 flats step up to the 14" 09374.
