No — this is the head-only variant ("09047 — Head Only"). It threads onto any standard Acme broom handle or extension pole, including the roller pole you already own. Pole included is the 09048.
What's actually different from the economy head?
Aluminum body in place of polypropylene, and a clean Easy-Clamp™ claim in both official sources. Same sheet size, same Acme thread, same swivel pattern.
What sheets does it run?
3-1/4" × 9-3/8" — the standard precut drywall-sander class. Grit sequencing (120 knockdown, 150 workhorse, 180 pre-prime) is the abrasives line's ladder.
Will Hyde's washable net sheets fit it?
Their row claims conventional-sander fit, but they measure 3-5/16" × 11-1/4" against this head's stated spec — the physical pairing is flagged for bench verification (13) before you standardize on it.
Can it connect to a shop vac?
No. Extraction on a pole is the 09170 (your pole) or the 09180 (complete kit).
Why does the head pivot at all?
Because the pole's angle to the wall changes through every stroke; only a pivoting head keeps the full pad face on the surface. The same freedom allows the flip-over — 2c is the management manual.
Aluminum head or the radial?
Different bets: this rectangle tracks joints and reaches angles; the 09977's circle sands any direction without flip risk but leaves every corner unfinished. Big open field days favor the circle; taped-joint discipline favors this.
