Set the neck angle first, load second

bend and lock before the brush is wet. Use the stiffness — don't overpower it. A firm filament lets you lead the stroke and press the toe into the line; that's the point. But it also throws a heavier load if you flood it, so still load a third of the bristle and tap it out. Shorter strokes on a long pole — leverage plus a stiff brush moves paint fast; deliberate pulls hold the line. Expect a firmer feel — this brush talks back more than the standard one; that feedback is the control you paid for. Clean the neck and the heel — dried paint in the flexible joint stiffens the wrong part; wash it out and comb the filaments straight every session (line-wide care rule).
