✕DO NOT FORCE THE FIT
- Not the default blade — for ordinary, non-abrasive mill cutting the Standard carbon flats (2607, BG20, BG71A, 088) are the right, cheaper, easier-to-hone choice; HSS is the abrasion upgrade, not a general "better." Not the dense-grabby blade: material that rolls a thin flat edge, or glancing cuts, want a bevel grind — and the line offers HSS in bevel form (62600/62630) for exactly that.
- Not the short-stroke heavy blade: high-force chopping into thick dense stock is the .109" stub blades' brief.
- Not a corrosion solution — HSS resists heat and wear, not rust.
- And not a finished knife.
