What it does
Multi-purpose caulking tool. Sharp high-impact plastic blades shave old caulk off tile or window mullions, and the sharp point clears caulk from crevices. A tube cutter on the back opens the new caulk tube, and the padded end smooths the new bead.
How to use it
- Work the blades at a low, flat angle; steep chiseling loses to the bead.
- Use short strokes in the crevice, an inch or two at a time.
- Soften stubborn silicone with a gel first. Wipe the pad at every stop and wash it after each session.

Common questions
Will it scratch my tub or tile?
The blades are high-impact plastic, and Hyde describes them as shaving old caulk clean. Keep the angle low.
Does it remove silicone?
It does the mechanical part. Use a chemical remover to break the silicone's grip, then clear the bead and residue with the blades and point.
Does it open caulk tubes?
The tube cutter on the back slices the spout. It has no feature to pierce the inner foil seal, so use a nail or wire.
Does it replace a caulk gun?
No. You still need something to push the new bead out of the tube.
