✕CHOOSE A DIFFERENT TOOL WHEN
- Epoxies — the family row bars it flatly ("Not for use with epoxies"), and the bar is chemical, not commercial: a curing resin on a polypropylene rotor never comes off.
- Joint compound, texture, grout, mortar — stiff materials are the welded-steel tier's rating (46555/46560/46565); this head is shaped for liquids and would carve rather than roll them.
- A sealed pail: the 3-1/8" head never passes a five-gallon pour spout — mixing a closed five through its spout is exactly two other tools' job (46540 in steel, 43440 in nylon), and neither sentence in this paragraph is true of them.
- And gallon cans: it fits a gallon the way a canoe paddle fits a saucepan — its little siblings (43420, 43460) exist so it never has to.
