The pouch is cut for the canted head; drop the knife in the orientation it's shaped for so it sits deep and doesn't rock out on a kneel. Manage the exposed edge. As with the straight pouch, the knife rides blade-exposed — retract a retractable knife before holstering, and treat a fixed edge as permanently live; position the pouch so a stumble carries the edge away from your leg. Condition the leather. Flooring and drywall work is hard on a pouch; wipe it down, let it dry, and dress it occasionally so the top grain doesn't crack. Standard belt. The 2-1/2" slots want a standard work belt to keep the pouch from swinging as you move up and down.
