What it does
General purpose knife sheath of heavy top grain leather with rivet-reinforced construction. It holsters a utility knife with the blade exposed. The belt slots are 2-1/2" wide.
How to use it
- Retract a retractable knife before holstering it; treat a fixed blade as always live.
- Seat the knife fully so it cannot bounce out when you kneel or climb, and place the pouch away from your leg.
- Wipe the leather and let it dry; dress it occasionally. Wear it on a standard work belt.

Yes. It is a blade-exposed holster for one-handed carry, not an enclosing sheath.
Will my heritage square-point knife fit?
No. Those long ground blades need the enclosing 56500 or 56505 sheaths.
Straight or angle-head knife?
This pouch is for a straight-handled utility knife. The angle-head pattern uses the 42525.
Can I carry a hook knife in it?
No. A hooked blade needs the curved, snap-retained 42700.
