✕DO NOT FORCE THE FIT
- Deep single-pass cuts through thick board, membrane, or stacked underlayment — the blade will flex off line; step to the 25mm 42051.
- Heavily side-loaded cuts where absolute blade rigidity matters — the screw-lock 42050 clamps harder.
- Any cut governed by a written safety policy — a snap-off cannot self-retract, so it fails an EHS spec on its face; that is the Switchblade family's job.
- Trade-specific repetitive cutting of leather, rubber, or belting, where a dedicated ground blade outlives a thousand snapped tips — that is the heritage square-points' work.
- And fine curve-following in film or wallpaper wants a 9mm blade, not an 18mm.
