Open, lock, confirm

Open the body, seat it in the scraping position you want, and confirm the lock has engaged before you load the edge — a folder is only as safe as its locked joint. Wet, low, one direction. How does it carry safely?

Why metal instead of plastic?
Durability and heat tolerance. An all-metal body survives a toolbox and sits closer to heat-gun work without the risk of a plastic holder softening.
Will it scratch glass, and can I use it on wood?
It scratches only with a dry surface, a high angle, or a dull blade — wet it, keep it low, keep the edge fresh, and test tempered glass first. And no wood, drywall, or plastic: razor scrapers are for hard, smooth, non-porous surfaces only.
