120 net cuts fast and the open weave keeps it cutting; leaning on it only threatens the feathered edge, and on a pole the leverage is already too much. Draw before you touch — on a vacuum sander, confirm airflow first; the disc's advantage is dust through the mesh, and that only happens with the vacuum drawing. Read a raking light — with the dust leaving through the disc you can see the plane truthfully; use a low light to confirm 120 has finished leveling before going finer. Wash before you retire — slowed cutting usually means loading, not death; rinse and dry before you replace. Even at "no-clog," respect the film — repaint scuffing loads even net abrasive more than bare compound does; wash more often on paint.
