The tightest slots and gaps. The cage that grips the cover is bulk the 47400 does not carry; behind-radiator and behind-appliance entry work belongs to the wire variant.
Covers outside its class ⚑. Four wires sized to one core family, no adaptors, no documented fitment beyond it. The multi-core drawer — 3/4" jumbos, 1-1/2"-core short covers — is the 47402's documented territory.
Production wall area. A 4" cover on open field is the wrong tool at any frame quality; the 9" tier and the parent ladder own it.
Being told apart from the Richard 92005 by invention. The near-twin call is real and this guide handles it in §5 — with documentation, not manufactured differences.
Half-seated covers are where wobble and premature walk begin; push until the cover meets its stop. Use the pressure you paid for. The cage supports the cover's full length — moderate lean to work paint into light texture is exactly what this architecture buys over the wire frame. Even so, paint the film, not the wall: pressure past coverage just prints shoulders. Reverse without fear, start without pause. Grip means the cover is always turning when it touches down; the slow-start ritual the wire frame demands is not needed here. End of day. Pull the cover straight off — expect the defined resistance of the wires — and wash or bin it; rinse the cage until water runs clear and spin it dry. Dried paint on cage wires is tomorrow's grip loss and wobble, and thirty seconds of rinse is the entire cure. The frame itself is a value-tier tool: soap, water, done.

BUYER QUESTIONS ANSWERED BEFORE THE CART, NOT AFTER THE RETURN
With or without the cage — which is this?
With — "47401 — with 4 wire cage," Hyde's own variant identity. The 47400 is the without.
What does the cage actually do?
Grips the cover's core along its length: continuous support under pressure, driven rotation through reversals, and a cover that stays seated — the three things end-cap mounting can't promise.
Which covers fit?
Hyde publishes no roster ; use the cover maker's frame statement or the push-seat-spin test in 2d. Multi-core fitment questions end at the 47402.
Can it go on a pole?
Yes — documented Acme thread, and the cage variant is the better pole worker of the value pair (2c).
Why did my cover start wobbling mid-job?
Usually a half-seated mount or paint dried into the cage wires from the last wash — reseat, or rinse the cage clean. Persistent wobble on a clean, seated cage is a core mismatch (2d).
Doors: this or a foam mini kit?
This frame with the parent line's cover guidance. The kit frames are wire-class; door lay-off is exactly where grip pays.
Is it different from the Richard 92005?
One documented difference: this frame's Acme thread is on record, the Richard's threading is not . Every other distinction would be invented, so this store doesn't make one.
