Is the cover any different from the single 98102?

No — it's the identical 9″ 3/8″ E-volution microfiber cover; the pack is three of them. See the 98102 guide for the full cover treatment.

Why buy three?

Whole-house or crew work, where you don't stop to wash mid-job and you want every wall rolled with the same cover so they match.

Do I wash them or throw them out?

A microfiber is worth washing, but on a big job keep one as the good washed cover and run the others harder — crews burn covers rather than reviving each one.
