Every 3/8"-mini boundary, unchanged: not for invisibly touching up a 9"-rolled wall (the mini's stipple can flash — the 47353/47354 on a full 1-1/2" core is the touch-up-match cover), not for big open walls (that's 9" work — 47302), not for heavy texture or masonry (microfiber tears on rough surface), and not for gloss doors and cabinets (the 1/4" nap 47315 lays the flat film gloss needs).
And four covers is over-buying for a single closet or one small wall — that's the 47317 two-pack.
light pressure (microfiber floods under weight), pre-dampen for waterborne, load full and quiet, lay off in one direction, and reload a touch more often than a jumbo since the conventional core is the smaller tank. The four-pack rules are two — keep a fresh cover for each room's or color's visible work, and track which cover ran which color so nothing bleeds. Wash the keepers to clear at day's end, stand them on end to dry, and let the pack absorb the retirement of a matted cover without a second thought.
