Keep the angle shallow: 15–25° — you are shaving along the surface, not chiseling into it. Concentrate the width: at 1-5/16" you have real pressure per inch — use it to target a single speck or a narrow channel, not to clear broad fields (that's the 3" 01440's job). Keep the bevel keen: a chisel edge is only as good as its single bevel — dress it on a stone held to the bevel angle when it dulls; a keen bevel shaves, a dull one drags and skids. Stainless in practice: wet and washed surfaces, water-rinse strippers, and damp residue are all no-rust jobs here — for heavy dry force, step to the stout carbon 02200 instead.
