Is this the right tool for your job?

CHOOSE THIS WHEN
  • Built-in Blade Storage (#13030): Handle stores 5 standard single-edge razor blades, which are included.
  • Versatile Use: Ideal for scraping glass, mirrors, windshields, and other smooth surfaces.
  • Compact and efficient, the Mini Glass Scraper is designed for easy removal of coatings, paint, and stickers from glass, mirrors, and windshields.
DO NOT FORCE THE FIT
  • All-day, heavy production glass work. The Mini is a quick-job tool; a shift of scraping wants the heavy-duty retractable Delta (13000/13010) with its ribbed control button and clog-resistant track.
  • Carrying spare blades aboard. The 13020's handle is solid — there is no magazine inside it. For stored spares, the 13030 is the same Mini with five blades in the handle.
  • Framed inside corners, big fields, and wallpaper. Open glass only; corners want a utility-blade holder (13080), and wide fields or wallpaper want the 4-inch 33250.
  • Soft or coated surfaces. A razor cuts anything softer than glass — plastics, gelcoat, film, paint. Keep it on hard, smooth surfaces.

How the pros run it

01

The Mini follows every rule of razor-scraping, just at pocket scale. Wet the surface

never scrape glass dry, which drags grit into scratches. Low angle, around 30° or flatter, so the blade shaves rather than digs. One direction, lifting to reset rather than sawing. Fresh blade — a single-edge razor is cheap and dulls fast; a dull one forces pressure, and pressure scratches. Because the 13020 carries only its one blade, keep a spare where you keep the tool, or step up to the 13030 that stores five in the handle.
02

Razor discipline and disposal (load-bearing)

the Mini has no retracting track — the blade seats in a simple holder — so treat the exposed edge with respect. Fit and remove blades with your fingers clear of the edge path, cover or sheath the tool when it is loose in a bag or pocket, and bin dull blades in a rigid sealed container or blade bank, never loose in the trash. Single-edge blades are the most common cut in the trade, and a small tool in a pocket is exactly where that happens.

Asked at the counter

BUYER QUESTIONS ANSWERED BEFORE THE CART, NOT AFTER THE RETURN
What's the difference between the 13020 and the 13030?
Blade storage. The 13020 is the plain Mini with one blade; the 13030 is the same Mini with five spare blades stored in the handle.
Does the blade retract into the handle?
No — the Mini is a simple compact holder, not the retractable Delta. Handle the exposed edge with care and cover it when loose.
Will the thinner in my kit ruin it?
No — the polypropylene body withstands most paint thinners, which is why it is the tool that lives in a paint box or glovebox.
Can I clean my windshield stickers with it?
Yes — wet or soften first, shave low and flat, and keep the blade off gaskets, tint, and trim.
What blades does it use?
Standard single-edge razor blades (see the 13110–13140 line); keep a spare, since this one stores none.
