Load the flex

these blades are built to bow under pressure — start a pass low and lean in toward the feather so the blade flexes more as it thins the coat to zero. Thin coats win: two or three thin passes beat one thick one, because thin compound dries flat and thick compound shrinks and telegraphs. Use the butt first, the blade second: on any repair over a fastern, reset the pop with the Hammer Head® before you coat, or the coat is hiding a defect that will return. Keep the edge clean: wipe set compound off between passes, or a fleck draws a track through every stroke. No rust ritual: stainless means rinse, wipe, done — no drying-and-oiling. Finish to raking light: a work light across the wall finds ridges the eye misses straight on.
