Pressure: light and decreasing through a feather stroke; this blade rewards a soft hand and punishes a heavy one by chattering or leaving a wave. Coats: thin, and this is the last of them — the ExtraFlex is the finisher, not the builder, so it comes out after the standard-flex blade has laid the body. Steel: high-carbon hones keen and flexes true; wipe it dry after water-based compound. Don't ask it to dig — the limberness that makes it a finisher makes it useless as a scraper.

No — this is the carbon ExtraFlex knife; the store title "SuperFlexx" on it is a naming split. It is not stainless, and it doesn't carry the stainless series' 30% figure.
Can I press a first coat with it?
No — no backbone; it skates. Build with the standard-flex 02870, finish with this.
Does it set nails?
No Hammer Head — that's the 02870.
Will it scrape?
No — it's the limberest blade in the family.
