Identify the object and reject the method early where appropriate.

Record object type/construction, dimensions, authoritative weight, hardware, glazing, labels, seals, sweep, weatherstrip, drainage, hinges, latch, closer, contacts, and clearances.

The current 43510 maker page specifically lists cabinet doors, shutters, furniture, crafts, and moldings. It does not expressly authorize a full-size passage, entry, glazed, fire-rated, or security door. Do not use the 200-pound headline to bridge that gap.

Use another maker-approved method; none is invented here.

Baseline the door and hardware before disassembly

Operate and photograph both faces, edges, hardware, labels, glazing, hinges, latch, closer, seals, clearances, rubs, damage, and coating failure.

Remove hardware only where and how allowed; identify every part, fastener group, position, orientation, and adjustment. Support the door before releasing components.

Keep coating off every excluded surface: labels, hinge knuckles and mortises, threads, latch and strike interfaces, closer parts, glazing systems, gaskets, seals, drainage, sweeps, contact faces, and any edge the maker reserves. Film thickness can consume working clearance. Coating is not a repair for an existing rub or misalignment.

Diagnose and prepare only the approved coating boundary

identify → diagnose → clean as specified → remove failed material under applicable hazard controls → abrade or degloss only if directed → repair → prime where required → remove residue by the approved method → reach the stated ready-to-coat condition.

Do not author a cleaner, grit, solvent, deglosser, filler, caulk, primer, dust wipe, temperature, humidity, or waiting period into that sequence. The exact door and coating system decide each one.

Stop for rot, swelling, delamination, corrosion, water entry, loose veneer/glazing, failed joints, unknown factory surfaces, broad coating failure, or support/handling damage. Correct the cause under an approved repair procedure.

Where work may disturb paint in pre-1978 U.S. housing or a child-occupied facility, resolve the lead boundary before scraping, sanding, drilling, or removing painted hardware. Covered paid work belongs under the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Program; homeowners should use EPA lead-safe DIY renovation guidance. This guide does not turn an ordinary cloth into lead containment or authorize uncontrolled dust.

Prove the complete system on an approved test area or sample through its required dry, adhesion, and supported-contact evaluations. Wet appearance, finger touch, or an improvised hidden-face test cannot approve a flip state.

Close the 95012 protection gate before staging supports

A different site-approved protection system may be necessary operationally, but it is not silently added to this guide’s product graph and does not turn 95012 into an endorsed node.

Install any approved protection only by its exact instructions. Keep traffic and lifting routes inside the site plan. Never assume a cloth can correct an inadequate floor, unstable bench, slick walking path, leaking coating container, or unsupported pyramid base.

Prove the 43510 configuration on paper, then run a rejection-only dry check

The current maker page establishes a ten-pack, minimal-contact points, listed workpieces, and flip intent—not configuration. The current Hyde Store page mentions screws/clips; the catalog says “lock & tab.” Neither supplies this job’s complete procedure. Do not select fasteners, holes, spacing, torque, base, connection motion, or retention by appearance.

After authorization, inspect supports and platform. Quarantine unidentified, damaged, distorted, contaminated, modified, or residue-built supports. Assemble dry only by the authorized method, with coating closed and approved handling control.

Run the maker-required dry check. Observation is rejection-only:

inability to maintain the site exclusion zone, lighting, communication, or hand-clearance plan rejects the setup;

absence of those symptoms does not prove a new support arrangement, load capacity, door compatibility, attachment, or flip motion.

Record AUTHORIZED CONFIGURATION — NO REJECT CONDITION OBSERVED, never fits because it looked stable.

Rehearse the complete session while everything is dry

Mark handler roles, commands, positions, travel envelope, landing orientation, applicator station, coating boundary, and emergency stop. Rehearse only the exact approved handling and turning method. Do not slide, lever, roll, pivot, lift from hardware, grip a wet edge, or place a face on points unless the controlling instructions name that action.

The rehearsal must confirm:

every handler can remain clear of pinch, drop, wet-film, and trip zones;

the workpiece stays controlled through the complete approved motion;

no person must improvise a grip after the first face is wet;

supports remain authorized;

applicator/light remain reachable without crossing the first face;

stopping returns the job to a defined safe state.

Reject rehearsal problems; do not add unapproved supports, fasteners, straps, spacers, shims, cloth folds, handles, or people.

Coat the first face and only its approved edges

Condition, mix, strain, reduce, and decant coating only as its documents allow. Use only the approved applicator. Keep the product identity and instructions at the station.

Follow the door and coating maker’s element order. Panel profiles, fields, rails, stiles, flush faces, and edges may require distinct application directions; this support guide does not replace the appropriate coating/application method. Maintain the coating’s permitted working behavior, inspect arrises for rollover, and keep film out of prohibited contacts and recesses.

The first face is whichever face the assembly and coating plan assigns first. This guide does not assume “back first,” that every panel has a hidden face, or that point marks will disappear. The maker’s “minimal contact” claim does not guarantee an invisible result with every coating thickness, gloss, color, cure mechanism, or viewing condition.

Inspect the wet face under the authorized light without touching it. Correct only within the coating’s stated working state. Once the film begins to drag, string, lift, wrinkle, or preserve tool marks, stop and use the specified defect-repair state rather than working it late.

Stop at the flip gate

The workpiece may be turned only when all of these are true:

the coating has reached the exact documented handling/contact/flip state for this substrate, film, conditions, and support type;

the site plan still permits the handler, floor, bench, ventilation, access, and emergency conditions;

the dry rehearsal remains valid and no support, workpiece, coating, or site condition has changed.

“Immediately flip” describes Hyde’s product benefit. It does not override coating documents, create minutes, define tack/dryness, establish block resistance, or authorize handling. Without one converged flip state, stop the one-session method.

Execute only the documented method and commands. Lost grip, workpiece/support movement, unauthorized contact, or failed landing triggers the site stop; never improvise pressure or motion.

After landing, inspect as specified. Witness, indentation, transfer, sticking, movement, instability, or damage is a rejected result—not evidence for a different wait or pattern.

Coat the second face, continue the specified system, and return to service

Coat the approved second face and edges under the same door and coating instructions. Protect the first face from contact, runoff, applicator reach, clothing, dust, and uncontrolled airflow. Inspect both faces and every edge at the intervals the coating permits.

If the system requires another coat, repeat only after the exact recoat preparation and interval. Revalidate support/contact and handling permission for every later turn; the first successful turn does not certify later films or changed conditions.

Do not stack, wrap, rehang, install hardware, close, latch, compress seals, contact stops, expose to weather, or return the door to traffic at “dry to touch.” Use the exact handling, assembly, block-resistance, cure, and service states. Reassemble from the baseline map. Confirm faces, edges, labels, hardware, swing, latch, closer, locks, seals, sweep, clearances, drainage, fire/egress/security functions, and contact surfaces against the starting record. Any impaired function keeps the assembly out of service.

Cleanup, waste, and closeout

Close the coating operation under its label, TDS, SDS, and site procedure. Never return contaminated working material to clean bulk unless the coating maker expressly permits it.

Clean applicators, 43510, 95012, platform, and site only by exact instructions. “Chemical resistant” is not a universal solvent-cleaning instruction; “dropcloth” authorizes no laundering, shaking, folding, reuse, recycling, or disposal. Invent no medium, pressure, temperature, drain, or waste route.

Can I flip the door immediately because Hyde says I can?

Hyde lists cabinet doors and an unqualified 200-pound statement, not arrangement, distribution, point/dynamic load, full-size geometry, or handling.

How many pyramids go under the door, and where?

Only exact 43510 instructions or written Hyde confirmation may answer. No pattern, spacing, or quantity is invented.

Should I screw the pyramids down or clip them together?

Not without exact instructions. Feature words do not establish fastener, hole, base, motion, spacing, load path, or inspection.

Which face should I paint first?

Whichever face the door/coating plan assigns. “Hidden face first” is not universal permission.
