Register the sheet first, then lift
Get the sheet's factory edge under the top course and its cut edge to the floor line before you commit the foot — the lever closes the last inch, it does not aim the sheet. Modulate, don't launch. The value of a foot lever over a shove is that the foot can ease the sheet up under control and hold it there; a snapped lift jams the board or overshoots the seam. Load both hands onto the board, not the lever. The whole point is that the foot owns the lift so the hands own the fastening — if a hand is helping the lever, the tool is not doing its job. Fulcrum on solid floor. A lever wants a stable base; a rocking or slipping fulcrum turns a controlled lift into a dropped sheet. (Every one of these techniques is pattern technique — the 09081's own lever length, pedal shape, capacity, and whether it repositions laterally are unverified; the PDP does not state them, and a buyer wanting a rated capacity should wait for the confirmed build sheet.)

What problem does it solve?
The third-hand problem: hanging a bottom course alone means lifting a fifty-pound sheet off the floor and holding it tight against the course above while you fasten it. A foot lever supplies the lift and holds it, so both hands stay on the board.
Can I lift a ceiling sheet with it?
No — and this is the tool's honest boundary. It lifts the bottom of a wall sheet the last inch. Overhead board goes up with a rented panel hoist, a helper, or tee-props — never a floor lever off a ladder.
What does "rolling" mean — does it move the sheet sideways?
We flag that as unconfirmed. The name aligns with the roller-fulcrum variant of the pattern, but whether the 09081 repositions a sheet laterally or simply pivots on a rolled fulcrum is unverified, so the page describes the foot-lift only.
How much can it lift? What is it made of?
We don't publish what we can't verify. The 09081 resolved to zero accepted product claims and no retailer listing; its capacity, dimensions, and materials are not stated until Hyde's build sheet is sourced.
Why not just use a flat bar and a block?
You can, and hangers do. The purpose-built lifter's advantage is a stable fulcrum and a pedal shaped for a boot under load — controlled modulation and both hands free — which is what the improvised version can't reliably give.
